Codemasters Terminate 'Heist' After Delay

Codemasters has cut some dead weight from their games line-up, axing the little known title Heist. The title was ironically in-development at inXile Entertainment before being canned, a studio behind numerous other low-key titles. Heist itself was a bank robbery focused game, set around 1969 San Francisco, but alas it was development that was held up, it would seem.
Speaking with CVG, a Codemasters spokesperson explained the decision, "After a much extended development period, Heist has been terminated as a project and removed from our release schedule."
Codemasters affirmed it's looking to focus on high quality titles going forward, that "in the majority, [will] be developed and produced by our internal studios." The company had more hits than misses in the past year, nothing like a little extra foresight.
