Consumers Buy 18 Million Call of Duty: Black Ops Map Packs

Activision has announced that they've sold 18 million map packs since Call of Duty: Black Ops was released under a year ago. This is almost as many as Modern Warfare 2 and World at War figures combined.
Activision also revealed that this means the average consumer has spent $76 on the game, an 18 percent increase of the game's standard mark-up at retail.
To further enforce just how popular Call of Duty is, Activision stated that since Black Ops released, gamers have amassed more than 2.3 billion hours of play. Which comes with the lovely stat of - people who play Black Ops spend more time on that than they do social networking behemoth Facebook.
