Dylan Cuthbert: More PixelJunk Shooter Content On The Way

Dylan Cuthbert, founder of Q games, makers of the critically acclaimed PixelJunk series on PlayStation Network, has revealed that his team is not finished with PixelJunk Shooter just yet. "For PixelJunk Shooter we still have a ton of ideas on the drawing board and the engine has lots of potential we want to use before moving onto our next idea," Cuthbert said in an interview with G4TV.

On the possibility of a full sequel to Shooter, Cuthbert hinted that Q is considering it, saying "normally sequels are just a re-hashing of the ideas in the original." Past PixelJunk games have received expansions in the form of 'Encores' so a full sequel would be a change for the series. Considering Shooter's abrupt ending many thought an expansion was inevitably coming, but Cuthbert stated this was not necessarily going to happen, "the ending is tongue in cheek...even if we weren't going to make a sequel we would have put that in."

PixelJunk Shooter is available on the PlayStation Store.
