E3 2010: Q&A With Mortal Kombat Lead Designer

While checking out the new Mortal Kombat, we had a brief chat with John Edwards, the lead designer about a hint of DLC we caught during the demo, and how MK's online component would work.

Gaming Union: We saw a little DLC icon on the character selection screen, is there anything you tell us about that?

John Edwards: We're planning on having DLC for a lot of things. Maybe new characters, new Fatalities, it's pretty much open for anything. We have support on the back end for backgrounds, new attacks, tweaks to fighting styles, all that.

Gaming Union: Excellent! Can you tell us anything about online?

Edwards: Yes! We have a really robust online system. I can't go into too many details but it's going to be pretty much the most robust online fighting game system ever imagined. Just look forward to it!

Gaming Union: Perfect, thank you so much!
