EA Confirm New NBA Jam In Development For Nintendo Wii
There was quite a lot of speculation about EA Sports re-creating the magic of NBA JAM after they hired up the creator of the franchise, Mark Turmell. This was denied, and Turmell is now working for EA's Madden studio, Tiburon.
However, EA Sports have now confirmed that they ARE working on a new NBA Jam, which is being developed by EA Canada and will be released on the Nintendo Wii during 2010.
Speaking about the announcement, Peter Moore, the president of EA Sports said,
NBA Jamis one of the most recognizable franchises in videogame history. Diehard fans of the original game have been asking for a remake for more than a decade. We're very excited to give them their wish this year with the return of this iconic franchise.
NBA Jam originally saw its debut in 1993 on the SNES and Mega Drive consoles.
