EA Facing Lawsuit Over Failed Battlefield 3 Promises
EA are facing a lawsuit from a gamer who's angered by the publisher's decision to remove Battlefield 1943 from the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 3.
Edelson McGuire has taken exception to EA's late announcement that the offer would in fact change. Instead of receiving a free copy of Battlefield 1943, PS3 gamers can buy downloadable content at a slightly earlier time - a rather different deal.
McGuire claims EA "misled and profited from thousands of their customers by making a promise that they could not, and never intended, to keep." The ironic part of this, is that McGuire isn't even asking for financial compensation, he just wants the free copy of Battlefield 1943.
