Eidos Montreal To Double In Size, 350 New Jobs By 2015

Square Enix have announced that Deus Ex: Human Revolution studio Eidos Montreal is set to expand its workforce by at least double its present numbers. According to Quebec publication La Presse Affaires, Square Enix will create 350 new jobs at the studio alongside a CAD $2 million grant from the government.

The studio will reportedly create the first hundred jobs by the end of 2012 with the remaining 250 jobs by the end of 2015. This will bring the present staff of 330 to 680, making Eidos Montreal the third biggest video game studio in the area. Ubisoft Montreal is top with 2,100 employees followed by EA Montreal with a staff of 800.

Eidos Montreal recently released Deus Ex: Human Revolution last week to critical acclaim. The studio is currently working on two other projects, including Thief 4 and an unannounced IP.
