Epic Games, renowned for their work on the Unreal Engine, and franchises such a Unreal Tournament and Gears of War have opened up a new subsidiary in Korea called Epic Games Korea.
This new branch will operate out of Seoul in Korea and has been specifically set up to help deal with the business aspects of game development in Asia.
Ray Park , who is going to be the territory manager at the new office said that:
We deeply value our customers, and we are committed to providing Korean game developers with outstanding technology and tools,
Recently there have been an increasing number of Asian developers that have started utilising the Unreal Engine, such as Square Enix with The Last Remnant and Magna Carta 2 for Xbox 360 and Epic have actually been providing the Korean market with Unreal Engine technology for over five years.
This move enables them to give their customers even more support, so they can make even better games in the future.
