Gears Of War 3 Crowned 2011's Best-Selling Launch Title
The closing chapter of Epic Games' Gears of War trilogy has officially been crowned as 2011's best-selling launch title to date in the UK.
Alongside claiming the UK charts number one spot, Gears of War 3 also reportedly managed to boast more opening week sales than any other game released in 2011, making it the seventh largest Xbox 360 title launch ever.
The game was released across the world last week and according to statistics, managed to beat the combined opening week sales of its two predecessors. The game is the last in the Gears of War trilogy's story, with only a rumoured Kinect enabled re-release of the first game offering any hope of a new entry into the franchise.
