GOTY 2010: Best DS Game Award

Nintendo's game library is an odd place to live. Many of their hits are first party titles and an alarming number of third party games simply fall by the wayside with no support from Nintendo at all. Here are the nominees for the best Nintendo DS game of 2010, will it be a Nintendo-owned title or an independent game?
Best DS Game of 2010 Nominees
- Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth
- Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow
- Dragon Quest IX
- Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
- Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals
- Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver
- Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
- Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey
- Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
- Super Scribblenauts
And the winner is Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey!
Not to be confused with the Persona titles, Strange Journey is an epic tale that's part of the original Megami Tensei series, one that isn't well known outside of Japan. On Nintendo's portable platform where few RPGs dare to do anything different, Strange Journey offers die-hard RPG fans a full fledged experience.
Also vying for the Best DS Award were Square Enix's Dragon Quest IX and Nintendo's very own Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, both tied at second place.
