GOTY 2011: Best Nintendo Wii Game Award
That's the handheld consoles out of the way, so now we're moving onto the home consoles, starting with the Nintendo Wii, which had quite a quiet year.
We had the next major Zelda title, of course, and Europe was lucky enough to get Xenoblade Chronicles, something North America won't have until next year. So here's our ten picks for the Wii in 2011:

And the Best Nintendo Wii Game of 2011 is..... The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword!
It's no surprise that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was a run-away winner in this category, but Nintendo only has itself to blame - the release calendar has been rather pathetic throughout the year. We'll probably see similar results next year too, as Nintendo shifts all its attention to the Nintendo Wii U.
