GOTY 2011: Best OST Award

GOTY 2011: Best OST Award

Moving away from the individual awards for Best Publisher and Best Developer, the next award we've got for you guys is the Best Original Soundtrack Award.

This year had a rather different range of scores compares to last year, with Western titles dominating proceedings. Here are our ten picks for best OST of 2011:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
Portal 2
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
LA Noire
Cave Story 3D
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron
Bastion
Sonic Generations
Minecraft

And the winner of Best OST for 2011 is..... The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim!

Shortly after picking up the award for Best Developer, Bethesda Games has also succeeded in providing what we believe is the best original score of 2011.

Complimenting this epic fantasy tale are the familiar sounds of Jeremy Soule. He's been composing the music for The Elder Scrolls series for many years now, but that main theme just keeps getting and better.

Other strong contenders for the award this year were Basion, Portal 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Unlucky guys.
