Gran Turismo 5 Ships Over 5.5 Million Units Worldwide
Sony has announced that their flagship driving game, Gran Turismo 5, has managed to ship over 5.5 million units (as of December the 6th, 2010) worldwide in just a few weeks.
This means that the franchise as a whole, has managed to ship more than 60 million units, a figure which has been achieved in just under 13 years.
The lowest selling main series title so far, excluding Gran Turismo 5, is Gran Turismo 2, which managed to ship 9.34 million units. So expect Gran Turismo 5 to be selling well for quite a while.
