Grandia Online Coming Exclusively To Playstation 3
Grandia Online, an MMORPG of GameArts's well-known RPG series, is coming to the PlayStation 3 in Japan. The series is known for it's unique battle system that mixes in a Final Fantasy-like real-time battle system with real-time movement, allowing the player to evade enemy attacks or get an advantage over the enemy.
The game started development in 2004, and was supposed to begin beta testing in 2006. However, the status of the game has been in question ever since GungHo sold the license to Online Gaming Revolution for 2.6-billion Yen.
It had been rumored that the game was canceled, but the game obviously is in a playable state, since a playable demo will be available for up to 60 players in Tokyo's Akihabara on May 20th, 2009.
The original Grandia for the PlayStation will also be available on PlayStation Network as a way to commemorate the event.
