Guerrilla Games Tease More Cross-Genre Killzone Titles
Killzone 3 has just launched, but while Guerrilla Games, the developer, wouldn't talk much about Killzone 4, they have slightly teased the prospect of the Killzone franchise branching out to other genres.
When we had the chance to speak to the lead level designer on Killzone 3, Chris Haluke, about more cross-genre titles (like Killzone Liberation), he said "Right now, we're solely focussed on the first-person aspect, which you can see from our latest title. As far as the future, yea, it will certainly be interesting to see what that holds [for the franchise]."
The Killzone franchise would certainly suit different types of gameplay, especially with the expanded universe.
