Guild Wars Sales
Posted on 2009/04/24 by Darryl
On the eve of its four year anniversary, NCSoft and ArenaNet have announced that their free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Guild Wars, has managed to sell over six million copies since its release on the 28th of April 2005.
Since its launch, there have been three different campaigns, and an expansion called Guild Wars: Eye of the North and it looks like NCSoft are going to continue to deliver moving forwards. To mark its four year anniversary ArenaNet have announced that they will be adding even more content to the game, with new quests, extra storage events and even some in-game festivities to commemorate the milestone.
Even though Guild Wars 2 is on the horizon, it still looks like there is going to be plenty to keep players occupied on Guild Wars for the foreseeable future.
