Halo 3 ODST Pre-Orders Include Sgt. Johnson

Hitting the ground on September 22, Microsoft Game Studios is already plugging the Halo 3:ODST's pre-order bonus. As an extra, those that pre-order ODST will unlock UNSC Sgt. Johnson as a playable character in the new cooperative multiplayer mode, Firefight. Much like Horde in Gears of War 2, Firefight pits an ODST Squad against progressively harder waves of baddies in a game of survival.

In the press release, Microsoft Game Studios PR did their job of really hamming-up the announcement:

Fan favourite and "Halo" series stalwart Sergeant Avery Junior Johnson is a tough-as-nails career Marine who has been in more life or death battles than you've had hot meals. He's survived more infectious Flood outbreaks, greased more Covenant bad guys, and earned more medals than any other twenty soldiers. And now you get to walk a mile in his shoes.

A cool bonus to go alongside beta access to Halo: Reach. If Sgt. Johnson is up your alley, pre-orders of Halo 3: ODST have long been up for grabs at many retailers.
