Job Posting Points to Next Tomb Raider Having Multiplayer
A job posting by development studio Crystal Dynamics could be a hint that the next Tomb Raider game, Crystal Dynamics' key franchise, could feature multiplayer. Tomb Raider has never featured a multiplayer mode before, only single player, so this could be a large change of pace for the series if proven true.
The job posting called for a lead designer for "future AAA title development for Xbox 360 and PS3." Whomever fills the position is tasked with the "multiplayer vision and design effort," and would in large be leading development of "multiplayer maps".
The opening could very well be for another title the studio is working on, but considering Tomb Raider is the only franchise Crystal Dynamics has produced for the past six years, there's a very good chance the job opening is for the next Tomb Raider game.
