L.A. Noire No Longer PS3 Exclusive

As the Grand Theft Auto series has gone multiplatform, gamers have for a while now thought that Rockstar Games' L.A. Noire would be the company's next PlayStation exclusive franchise. To the dismay of fanboys, and the delight to the rest of us, GameInformer has revealed that L.A. Noire, which was originally announced as PlayStation 3 exclusive, is now in-development for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

The revelation wasn't exactly typical, or climactic either. GameInformer today on their website showed off their next issue's cover, sporting L.A. Noire, and when comments got talking about its exclusivity, GameInformer staff members posted in the comments saying it is exclusive no-more.

First staffer Matthew Kato commented, "It's not a PS3-exclusive. It was at one point, but it's coming out for the PS3 and 360." To follow him up, staffer Matt Bertz reiterated basically the same thing, saying, "To be clear, this is NOT a PS3 exclusive. Rockstar has another game called The Agent it announced last June that fulfills that role."

Rockstar has yet to confirm, but considering GameInformer has the game headlining their next issue, it's likely safe to assume they're in the know.

GamingUnion.net are currently giving away a Nintendo Wii, along with Sky Crawlers and Ghost in the Shell on Blu-Ray. Visit the competition page to find out how you can win.
