Left 4 Dead 2 Gets Patched On PC

Left 4 Dead 2 launched on both Xbox 360 and PC, but the PC version has been experiencing quite a few glitches since it release.

Valve were well aware of this though, and recently released a patch via Steam that amended a few issues:

- Fixed performance problem when rendering lots of decals, notably when fighting tanks with shotguns
- Fixed rcon response not working on Linux dedicated servers
- Fixed matchmaking problem matching into Advanced and Expert games
- Fix bug that would cause other specials to try to pummel a player a Charger disconnects or reconnects
- Fixed versus mode results panel being cut off in transition stats screen in non-english
- Fixed non-player entries drawing the wrong type of icon in the selected item name label
- Game mode selector on main menu now takes keyboard input

GamingUnion.net are currently giving away a Nintendo Wii, along with Sky Crawlers and Ghost in the Shell on Blu-Ray. Visit the competition page to find out how you can win.

Wow. I wonder how many patches are forthcoming? This news doesn\'t exactly engender warm and fuzzy feelings about their QA process, but at least they\'ve acknowledge the problems and got on top of this quickly.
