LEGO Star Wars III Announced

LucasArts and TT Games has today announced in a press release a new iteration in the LEGO Star Wars Franchise with LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. This new title in the series will again be published by Activision.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will be based off the TV series of the same name and will feature all the characters from both seasons of the show as well as some fan-favourite characters from the original saga.

Tom Stone, director at TT Games had this to say about the announcement, "LucasArts is an amazing partner, and working with them on the next iteration of the LEGO Star Wars series continues to be a great experience."

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will see release this Fall on every major console and handeld.

It will be interesting to see if the Clone Wars will be enough of a catch for this new title. Being a popular series with kids, it's probably a safe bet that it will.
