Let's Play Again: Arch Rivals
Basketball games really have come a long way, especially those of an arcade nature. But really, it all started with this game, Arch Rivals.
Arch Rivals was effectively the precursor to NBA Jam, one of the best sports arcade titles during the Mega Drive/SNES era. It's still fondly remembered by many people to this day.
Arch Rivals isn't quite as fun though, introducing many elements, but refining very few of them. It adopts a 2 vs 2 gameplay model with no rules and some lovely slam dunks.
