Mass Effect 2 Sells 2 Million In Its First Week

EA have officially announced today that Mass Effect 2 has sold over 2 million units in its first week on sale - particularly impressive considering the game has only been on sale one day in the United Kingdom.

The game again follows the adventures of Commander Shepard, and allows players to import their characters from the original Mass Effect, something which adds an extra level of depth to the experience.

About the sales, co-founder of BioWare, Ray Muzyka, said "Mass Effect 2 is poised to be one of the biggest games of 2010. We could not be more proud of the game's universal acclaim and early commercial success."
