Medal Of Honor Franchise Turns To Modern Warfare Setting

EA today has announced that the Medal of Honor series will be rebooted with a modern day setting. It says goodbye to World War II and hello to Modern Warfare 2, as EA have enlisted two studios to work on the title - EA Los Angeles and EA DICE.

EALA will tackle single player, while EA DICE will be handling multiplayer. The game will be set in war-torn Afghanistan, and will land some time in 2010. EA is hoping that it will help to renew interest in the franchise, which has been put into the shadows by the emergence of Call of Duty.

Only time will tell if they have what it takes, but the studios are definitely capable of making a solid game.

As long as they do something original and not simply rip off Modern Warfare 2 then I\'m ok with that- CoD\'s switch to modern settings was a positive one, maybe it will be for MoH.
