Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Delayed in Japan

Looks like Snake stumbled over something, as Konami today revealed that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has been delayed in Japan. The game was originally scheduled for a March 18th, 2010 release in Japan, but today has been shifted to April 29th.
Vague details were given to explain the delay, simply that more time is needed for some final tweaks so the game meets gamers' expectations. Perhaps a major bug jumped the development team, or specific pieces of the game are taking longer than expected, it's anyone's to speculate.
With the delay the game is now more inline with the Western release, which is set for the week of May 25th in North America and Europe. We previously noted that most MGS games release in Japan in North America within a few weeks of each other, and this delay brings the game back to that tradition, though by accident.
