Metal Gear Solid: Rising Trailer On The Loose, Platinum Games Confirmed As Developer
The Spike Video Game Awards hits the stage tonight, so cue the early leaks. The biggest one to spout today comes from Konami as the Metal Gear Solid: Rising trailer has been prematurely released, revealing and confirming that PlatinumGames (Bayonetta, Vanquish) is developing the title.
The trailer is being pulled all over the place, but we'll put one down here anyway. Perhaps some will manage to catch a glimpse before it gets pulled again. The trailer is indeed an in-engine piece of work, showcasing hack-and-slash gameplay in the vein of Devil May Cry, but with some nasty twists. Of course, it's awfully over-the-top seeing as PlatinumGames is behind it.
If the trailer gets pulled yet again, don't worry, you can catch the reveal tonight at the VGAs, which kicks off at 5PM Pacific Standard.
