Metroid: Other M Co-Developed By Team Ninja
Towards the end of their press conference, Nintendo dropped a huge bomb. Responding to criticism from journalists who have complained about a lack of hardcore games, Nintendo announced a new game in the Metroid franchise, Metroid: Other M.
The game is going to be co-developed by Nintendo and Team Ninja, who are renowned for their mature rated games, hence the title, Other M. It's going to be distinctly different from other Metroid titles, although it will try to keep the core values.
In the trailer, Samus Aran was seen performing melee finishers, and taking part in a much more visceral combat experience than seen in many of the previous games.
Nintendo certainly took the criticism on board, but it's only one title; not a bad start though and hopefully they can build on this in the future.
