Minis and Content Transfer Add To PlayStation 3's Latest Firm Update

Sony has detailed what comes with the PlayStation 3's next firmware update, 3.15, specifically highlighting compatibility with PlayStation "minis", and transferring content between two PlayStation 3s. PlayStation minis, as a bit of a refresher, are bite-sized downloadable games that launched on the PlayStation Network alongside the PSP Go. They've since only been playable on PSP systems, but with the latest PS3 firmware update, gamers will be able to buy and play minis on their PS3s as well.

Furthermore, if you have already purchased any of the minis for PSP, you'll be able to play them on your PS3 at no added cost once the new firmware is released. The next update will be coming to PS3 "shortly" says Sony.

As for transferring content, users will be able to hook two PS3s together, and copy content like photos, music and videos, between the two, or transfer purchased content from one PS3 to another. Unfortunately users won't be able to simply copy purchased content from one PS3 to another, but as a fair amount of PSN content can be downloaded on up to five accounts, users won't be cut off completely from having the same game on more than one of their PS3s, if they're so inclined to have more than one.
