Monster Hunter Tri Comes to North America

Capcom has announced today that Monster Hunter Tri, which recently was released in Japan, will be coming to both North America and Europe in early 2010.

The game is the first in the series on Nintendo's Wii console, and includes both the offline and online quests that the series is known for. Two players can play on one TV, or players can connect with up to four players online to hunt down the game's monsters.

Steve Singer, Nintendo of America’s Vice President of Licensing, had this to say about the title:

Fans of Nintendo and Monster Hunter are eagerly anticipating the launch of this title in the US, which will be the first time the series is available on a Nintendo home console. Having Capcom bring Monster Hunter Tri to the Wii console provides tremendous action, fun and entertainment to both veteran players and series newcomers alike.

Capcom will be showing off the first sample of the localized version at Germany's GamesCon convention, which takes places on August 19-23. More information about the title will be announced in the upcoming months.
