Natal 'Clever' Yet 'Restrictive' Says Lego Games Developer

Microsoft is betting a lot of money, and spending a lot of effort, on the Xbox 360's controller-free gaming solution 'Project Natal', with a number of developers, including Ubisoft and EA, already supporting it. However, Company Directory Jon Burton at Traveller's Tales, the studio behind the Lego video games, doesn't sound all that optimistic about Natal.
Speaking with Develop, Burton explain his views of Project Natal versus Sony's also in-development PlayStation motion controller,
[Natal is] exceedingly clever, but the lag on the input and lack of physical buttons is really going to restrict the kind of games that can be done with it. Sony's solution will be cheap, accurate and will put buttons at your fingertips, meaning everything from action adventures to FPSes can be handled with the same input.
Following up, Burton outlined that he was still astonished by the technology behind Natal, and its resemblance to studio mo-cap (motion capture). Burton has yet to see a final version of either Natal or Sony's motion controller, yet remains quite clear regarding Natal.
