Need For Speed Franchise Tops 100 Million Sales
EA have announced that the Need For Speed franchise, which originally started in 1994, has managed to sell over 100 million units worldwide.
This makes it only the 5th franchise in the history of video games to achieve this goal, and they aren't stopping there, as Need For Speed: Nitro is going to be released shortly for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.
Need For Speed has taken on many forms over the years, with some games being geared towards arcade racing, while others have focused on the simulation aspect. It'll be interesting to see what EA have in store for the future of Need For Speed.
