Netflix Coming Soon To PlayStation 3

Sony has just announced on the Official PlayStation Blog that Netflix will be available as an application on the PlayStation 3 in November 2009 at no charge to users. This has been heavily rumored over the last few months after Netflix hinted at bringing their service to systems outside the PC and the Xbox 360.
However, users will need to pay the $9.99 monthly Netflix fee to watch any of the movies. Unlike the Xbox 360, you don't need an expensive Xbox Live Gold subscription on top of the fee to access it.
Initially, users will need to have a Blu-ray disc to launch the program, although the company is looking to release an application in the next few months. Users can submit for the free disc on Netflix's website in advance of the official release of the program (which can be found in the blog post linked to below).
