New Detailed Knights in the Nightmare PSP Screenshots

Sting has released a batch of new screenshots for their upcoming PSP port of Knights in the Nightmare. The game was originally released on the Nintendo DS last Summer in North America.

Knights in the Nightmare used the Nintendo DS's touch screen to guide the Wisp, a undead soul which had the power to control other undead knights to attack enemies. Due to the unique control scheme and the game's use of "bullet hell"-style attacks, which sometimes filled the screen with projectiles that the player would have to evade using the touch screen, many players were reluctant to try it out.

Sting is working on a PlayStation Portable port of the game which uses a more familiar analog-stick based control scheme. Alongside this change is the addition of a fully-animated introduction (similar to the PSP port of Yggdra Union) and expanded in-game cutscenes.

The screenshots below show that the battle arenas from the original game stay the same size, even with the PSP's larger screen, likely due to stretching issues. The other screenshots show off more of the animated introduction which was already known about.
