New Game Plus - Metal Gear Solid: Week 2
Welcome to the second week of the brand new Community feature here on Gaming Union called New Game Plus! It's just like playing a game normally, but plus a whole bunch more fun and discussion with your good ol' community pals!
The premise is exactly the same as that of a bookclub, but with video games; each week Unionites will all play through to a pre-determined checkpoint of the same game. While you're doing that, everyone can join up on the forums to talk about how they're finding the game so far. Whether it be talking about how great the voice acting is, giving tips on item locations, or trying to figure out what the hell is actually going on in the story; no conversation topic is barred! The only necessity is that you must play through the same section in the same week as everyone else, and join in with the conversation! Why play and not talk to anyone about your experiences? There's no pluses to that!
Most gamers on a community forum, such as Gaming Union's, will spend a lot of their time talking about video games, but there's not often opportunities to talk about specifics of a game as you're playing through, as everyone has different pace and time restraints with which to play. That's not the case here! We can talk in depth about every experience and share in the pain of a tricky boss.
