New Left 4 Dead 2 Mode Revealed: Scavenge
In the lead-up to Left 4 Dead 2's release, Value have announced a new multiplayer mode called Scavenge. Like the Versus mode, Scavenge isn't co-operative. One team is trying to retrieve an objective, while the other is trying to stop them.
As with Versus, one team is made up of Survivors, with the other taking the role of the Infected. The Survivors must try and search for gas canisters, which they need to take back to their "base". The more they manage to retrieve, the more points they get.
It opens up a whole new array of tactics, as sometimes it might be best not to stick together as a team. If everyone is confident of their skill levels, it'd be quicker for each person to get their own canister.
It definitely sounds like it will be a ton of fun, and it will be in the game when it ships on the 17th of November for Xbox 360 and PC. Also, feel free to check out our Left 4 Dead 2 Hands On Preview.
