New Monster Hunter Spin-Off Announced

Monster Hunter is no doubt a phenomenal hit in Japan with the recent iteration for the Playstation Portable, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, sitting at roughly 3.5 million copies sold. Fans of the franchise who have long awaited news of the next Monster Hunter can rest easy as Capcom recently spilled the beans on their next title for the PSP.
According to Famitsu, the surprise announcement was made at the Monster Hunter Festa in Roppongi, Tokyo. The new game will be called Monster Hunter Diary of Poka Poka Isle Village. Not much else was said or shown about the game other than the title and logo.

Although not a lot was revealed in this announcement, it's certainly exciting news that Capcom is continuing development of Monster Hunter titles for the PSP. As to whether or not this new spin-off will ever see a release on Western shores, fans will have to wait for the next announcement.
