Next Wii Zelda Title To Release in 2010
Nintendo President Satoru Iwata, in an interview with Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, has revealed that Nintendo intends to release the next Legend of Zelda for Wii by the end of 2010. The game was only announced at E3 2009, and to see a 2010 release would be a rather quick turn around for the Zelda franchise.
The interview did not detail if the prospective 2010 release is specific to Japan, or if the goal is for a worldwide release by years end. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was released in Japan and North America at the end of 2006, however there was a three month delay between the release of The Wind Waker in North America after its release in Japan.
The next Zelda for Wii has been touted as structurally different, and will employ Wii MotionPlus.
