Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus Release Date Revealed, Screenshots Inside

Tecmo Koei have announced that Team Ninja's Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus will release alongside the PlayStation Vita when it launches on February 22. The game was first released on the PS3, but with Sony's new handheld it introduces a slew of new additions combined with the device's touch and motion controls.
"The Ninja Gaiden series lends itself to a great experience on this amazing new platform," says head ninja Yosuke Hayashi. "We’re confident that gamers, both our fans and those new to the series, will find Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus to be a thrilling and challenging experience that lives up to the spirit of what the series is best known for while offering a host of new and portable gameplay mechanics."
The series has been known to be ridiculously challenging, but Sigma Plus will feature a number of difficulty modes, making it accessible to both newcomers and veteran ninjas alike. Hero mode provides automatic blocking and evasive maneuvers, letting players concentrate on the fighting.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus is out on February 22, alongside the PlayStation Vita's launch. You can find a set of screenshots courtesy of Tecmo Koei and Team Ninja below this story.
