Nintendo To Publish Monster Hunter Tri In PAL Regions

Capcom has just announced that they will be entering into a distribution agreement with Nintendo for their upcoming Wii title Monster Hunter Tri in both Europe and Australia. The terms of the deal have Capcom remaining the publisher, leaving Nintendo in charge of sales, marketing, and the distribution of the game.

Monster Hunter Tri is the latest game in the series, which is massively popular over in Japan and has gained a sizable following in the West. Players can join up with in teams of up to four players in the game's online Wi-Fi mode, as well as in a two player split-screen Arena mode. Michael Pattison, Senior Director Marketing for Capcom Europe, had this to say about the news:

Nintendo has identified Monster Hunter Tri as a key title for the Wii platform in 2010. We are really excited about partnering with Nintendo to further develop this franchise.

Monster Hunter Tri is set for a April 2010 release in the West.
