Nintendo Wii System Update 4.2 Goes Live

Nintendo has released Wii System Update 4.2 to all Wii owners connected to the Internet, two months after their last update, Wii System Update 4.1.

Unlike the previous update, which was made to fix a bug in Wii Sports Resort and paved the way for the recent updates for the Nintendo and Internet Channels, 4.2 is aimed at the homebrew/hacking crowd, since it removes almost all of the recent hacks that had been released in the past few months.

Nothing else noteworthy seems to be included in this update outside of patching the flaws in the system's code, although it's possible some other minor flaws were also fixed alongside it in the update.
