NPD: Red Steel 2 Shifts 50,000 Units

The latest figures from the NPD Group have shown that Nintendo Wii exclusive, Red Steel 2, which was released towards the tail-end of the month, managed to sell 50,000 units.
Ubisoft were quick to defend the sales of their title though, and suggest April's figures should be scrutinised instead of March's: "Considering that the NPD sales only accounted for 12 days on the store shelves and that NPD doesn't include all retailers we are looking forward to a complete month of sales data to see where we stand."
It certainly will be interesting to see how Red Steel 2 does sell, as it'd be nice to see a third-party game that actually sells well. Feel free to check out our Red Steel 2 review while you're at it.
