Pachter: Mafia 2 Unlikely To Be Profitable
Mafia II spent around six years in development, but Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter, doesn't believe 2K Games will be able to make a profit from the game.
When speaking to Gamasutra he said that "consumer interest appears to be waning", despite the game only being out for approximately one week.
Certainly not what 2K Games would like to be hearing. Pachter also believes that LA Noire will be delayed until 2011. The game was expected to his a 2010 release.
