PlayStation 3 Passes 4 Million, Wii Passes 9 Million In Japan

The PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii are currently trading blows in the Japanese video game market, as the PlayStation 3 Slim has allowed Sony to close the gap on Nintendo considerably - in monthly sales, at least.
Famitsu are reporting that the Playstation 3 has now managed to sell 4 million units in Japan, while in the same week, the Nintendo Wii passed the 9 million sales mark. Both impressive figures.
The Wii has received a considerable boost from New Super Mario Bros Wii, as up until the release of their most recent Mario property, the PlayStation 3 had been outselling the Wii on a weekly basis thanks for the new Slim.
