Professor Layton Tops Japanese 3DS Software Sales

The Nintendo 3DS launched over the weekend in Japan, and Japanese publication Enterbrain has revealed that the top selling game was Level-5's Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.
The title managed to sell 117,589 copies over the weekend, which means over one quarter of all Nintendo 3DS buyers picked up a copy of the game (there were only 400,000 Nintendo 3DS consoles available at launch).
Level-5 recently revealed that Professor Layton franchise had shipped over 11 million units worldwide - figures which excluded the release of the Nintendo 3DS title.
