ModNation Racers Set For Release This May

Coming Officially from Sony today, an announcement was made that the upcoming ModNation Racers will be seeing a release this May 25th on both the PS3 and PSP systems simultaneously. Along with the release date, pre-order bonuses were also laid out for a choice of three different custom sets depending on where the order is placed. GameStop will get Kratos from God of War, and Amazon will get Ratchet and Clank, while Best Buy gets Nathan Drake of Uncharted fame. More »

After an outpour of internet complaints, 2K has responded to the accusation of having the latest "Sinclair Solutions" pack already on the disc. Community Manager, Elizabeth Tobey, had released a statement on the 2K forums stating, "The way our engine and game structure works is that people need to have the exact same content for people to play together. One of the challenges with post launch content for MP is that it can split the player base, and we want to avoid that whenever possible. For this content, creating the DLC package the way we did allowed for us to not split the player base - so whether you purchase the new content or not, you can still play with your friends" More »

Sony: 13 Million PS3s Will Be Sold By End Of March

The February NPD sales figures revealed a 31% increase from 2009 for the PS3 and Sony is forecasting that trend to continue through March. Despite recent supply shortages, Sony is predicting PS3 sales in 2010 will hit 13 million by the end of March. Patrick Seybold, Sony Computer Entertainment America Senior Director of Corporate Communications, revealed the company is "tracking to sell 13 million PS3s worldwide by the end of March, which marks a 30 percent increase over last fiscal year."
