Sledgehammer Making Call of Duty 2011, Could Be Spinoff

Activision have announced that Sledgehammer Games, the company headed by ex-Visceral Games employees, will be working on the Call of Duty franchise, specifically, a game that will be released in 2011.
Activision had previously announced that a new developer would be working on the Call of Duty, even though they already have Infinity Ward and Treyarch, and they will be taking the franchise in a slightly different direction.
The statement read "[Sledgehammer Games will] extend the franchise into the action-adventure genre," which suggests that this could accompany a game like Modern Warfare, should that happen.
