Sony Aware of PS3 Firmware 3.00 Issues

Some users who installed the new 3.00 PlayStation 3 firmware that was just recently released have been reporting issues with some games, namely Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and DualShock controllers.

Patrick Seybold, senior director of corporate communications, updated the official PlayStation.blog today to assure their customers that they are looking into the issue with the following statement:

SCEA is aware of reports that PS3 owners are experiencing isolated issues with their PS3 system since installing the most recent system software update (v3.00). Rest assured that we are looking into the matter and will provide an update here as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience, as it’s our mission to deliver the best consumer experience on all PlayStation platforms.

We will keep you up to date when Sony announces any further updates on this matter.
