Sony: Japan Studio Shifting Focus To PS3

Japan Studio, one of Sony's first-party developers, haven't really established themselves on the PlayStation 3 this generation. However, they've been instrumental in the PSP's rise in Japan.
Speaking to Gamautra, Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Worldwide Studios, stated that things are going to change though, with Japan Studio shifting their focus,
We are now re-energizing teams and coming up with new ideas for PS3 development. We'll be able to show fruits of this work sometime next year.
There are actually two huge PlayStation 3 exclusives scheduled for release next year which have been developed by Japanese developers, and they are Gran Turismo 5 and The Last Guardian. However, Yoshida's comments suggest that even more may be in the works.
