Sony Plans To Invest $20m In PSN Exclusives

Just when you thought exclusivity was starting to become a thing of the past, Sony has announced it will be investing $20m over the next three years to secure exclusive titles for the PlayStation Network platform.

Sony cited successes such as Flower, Critter Crunch and Joe Danger as justification for the move as they hope to make gamers focus on their platform, as opposed to the alternatives out there.

"Under this investment, we're committed to delivering titles that have innovative gameplay mechanics, vibrant visuals, interesting storylines and an artistic element to interactive entertainment that can only be found on PlayStation Network," said Brandon Strader, the PSN director of marketing.

It will be interesting to see what comes as a result of this.
