Splinter Cell Conviction To Feature In-Game Advertising
Ubisoft have announced that their upcoming Splinter Cell: Conviction will feature in-game advertising during the torture scenes that appear throughout the game.
Usually in-game advertising is associated with sports games, but there have been others, such as Bionic Commando, that have featured it in the past.
Ubisoft's Jeffrey Dickstein explains,
[during a torture scene player's might think] is this the new Degree deodorant I should buy?
While this could be considered somewhat disturbing, hopefully it won't detract from the overall experience that much.
